1. Does the idea convince us? In order for us to be fired with enthusiasm about a specific project, it has to be useful in a broad, extensive, and social sense. Besides, it has to be novel, independent, and seminal. 2. Do the general economic aspects conform to the idea in question? We are not interested in mere utopias but in courageous and unusual but nevertheless realistic ideas. That's why the financial requirements of a project as well as its risks have to be in suitable proportion to the idea and its social meaning. Our work is to provide the necessary leverage, while the project has to be economically controllable, too. 3. Is the project feasibly organized? A project worthy to be supported should have a suitable form of organization that allows for an effective communication and co-operation with Datuma. Or there has, at the very least, to be a key person as well as a stated readiness to build up a respective organization with the necessary structures. 4. Does the project require our own input in addition to money? Beyond financial support, Datuma can also contribute towards the operative approach of its realization as our company is experienced in managing complex projects. That's why we always ask ourselves whether our active co-operation is necessary, possible, opportune, and welcome, too. 5. Does this idea require Datuma's special input? We reject even the most convincing of plans that could also be realized without any support by Datuma. For if they can manage without outside help or if this help may equally as well be provided by another institution, it does not require Datuma and, thus, our co-operation is not up for discussion as far as we are concerned. |
