For biographical as well as professional reasons, all projects to date supported have been linked to the people that form the very basis of Datuma. That's why architectural, cultural, and social projects were a priority to date. However, we do not wish to restrict ourselves to these fields and intentionally strive to expand our scope of activities. That's why we are always ready to welcome the new and unexpected. Datuma is a joint-stock company that was only established in 2002.
However, we have already been promoting and supporting convincing ideas based on the very same principles for more than 10 years and thus developed and tested the model according to which Datuma works today. We participated to a substantial degree in the projects here presented and financially supported them with amounts between 100,000 and 4 million Swiss francs. They only represent a selection but provide a good impression of what we understand a meaningful and feasible undertaking to be. Not that they are to delimit the field of possible ideas.
The centre of our activities is Switzerland but we also support projects abroad - always provided there are good reasons to do so, of course.
